My Teeth: Top Invisalign Braces Are Back On

In My Teeth: Back Into Invisalign Braces I wrote about how my top teeth had moved since completing my Invisalign treatment and that I was going to have another course of treatment. On Tuesday 30th April I started my next, and hopefully last 7 weeks of treatment. At the end of this treatment, I will finally have straight teeth and a front left tooth that doesn’t stick out slightly (finally I shouldn’t hut my mug or glass or cup on it!). I’m very excited about this all being over.

My Teeth: Back Into Invisalign Braces

On February 1st I posted about how I had finished my Invisalign treatment as my bottom teeth were straight and the retaining wire was on. Prior to that, on December 18th, I posted about how the treatment on my top teeth had finished. Having had retaining wires attached to the back of my teeth I thought my treatment was over but after the top wire came off of one tooth on a number of occasions and then snapped, my top teeth had moved significantly enough that I need to go back into Invisalign braces.

My Teeth: No More Invisalign & Straight Teeth!

Over the past 22 weeks, I have documented my journey of having Invisalign braces. Today, after 15 weeks of top and bottom braces and 7 weeks of just bottom braces I had my bottom wire retainer fitted as the last step of my straightening treatment. I can finally say that I have straight teeth!

My Teeth: Invisalign Brace Treatment Complete Tomorrow

My first Invisalign appointment was on the 21st of July and my Invisalign were fitted on the 29th August. Being told that I needed braces for 12 weeks and then a further 7 weeks seemed like such a long time, that was 22 weeks ago and the time seems to have flown past. On Friday the 1st of February by 13:00 I will be Invisalign free and I am SO looking forward to it.

My Teeth: Top Teeth Invisalign Free & Bottom Teeth Into The Last 7 Weeks

On Friday 14th I posted My Teeth: Invisalign Braces Week 15 And Desperate For Tuesday To Come and yesterday Tuesday arrived. The Invisalign brace course on my top teeth was completed and the next 7-week phase of Invisalign braces began on my bottom teeth. As excited as I was I knew, in comparison, the appointment wasn’t going to be as easy as the majority have been. This wasn’t going to be an in for a quick 10-minute appointment, this was going to be a very challenging 35-minute appointment.

My Teeth: Invisalign Braces Week 15 And Desperate For Tuesday To Come

So I’ve still not had my new set of braces come in and I’ve been desperate for them. I had a regular dentist check up on Monday and they STILL hadn’t come in. The girls said that they would call me and book me in as soon as they did, so every day I have been waiting for the call.

My Teeth: Invisalign Braces Week 13 of 12 And Sadly More Needed

When I decided to go ahead with my Invisalign braces I was told I would need a 12-week course to get straight top and bottom teeth. Today is 13 weeks since I started my Invisalign course and unfortunately, I am going to need to continue to wear them as the 12-week course has not quite achieved straight top and bottom teeth.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

A few months ago I realised that I have PTSD, which to be honest isn’t surprising after what I went through and witnessed. I know what my triggers are, which is something, but unfortunately two of the places/ appointments that cause me PTSD flare-ups I can’t avoid.
